I have a Mio watch and love it. When I purchased my first one it was $100, and I had it for years, but the strap broke and it just made better sense to buy a new one. I found a classic version (the same as the one I had) for about $50 on Amazon.0

I got DW a Polar FT4 as it was one of the least expensive ones that still estimates calories. There are cheaper ones, but they don't do the calorie part.0

I got one from Lloyds Chemist online for £14.99 on recommendations from here. I couldn't fathom the instructions out and the wristwatch is huge on my tiny arm so it's gathering dust in the drawer. On the two occasions I wore it the readings just couldn't have been right......a full hour in the gym (bike, rower, cross trainer) for less than 100 calories.......I don't think so!!0

I ordered a Pyle one from amazon. Still waiting for it to arrive but it was on for 20$ when I bought it.0

I'm looking for a HRM too, the ones on the cardio machines don't work all the time. I ideally want a strapless one (not sure how big the straps are and if they will fit
)
Does anyone know of a good strapless HRM that does constant HR readings?0 -

Not sure what a MIO is. I would suggest a Polar FT4 as a beginners HRM, Made by a Finnish company. In the US, you can buy it from bodytronics.com, use the promotion code POPO and get 5% off.When I bought mine, I paid $58.79 USD.0
