So I had breakfast this morning aroun 7:30ish. I had 2 eggs and 2 slices of toast and I took a multivitamin. I am usually okay and my body handles it til lunch. Today I am feeling lightheaded 1.5 hours later. Is this normal? Should I start schedulaing a snack in between breakfast and lunch?

Hello fellow home schooler! Though, I am down to my last semester of high school with my last child! Yay! But that's not what this is about is it? HA! You didn't say if you had just started dieting or not, but for me, whenever I change my eating habits, it does take me a while to get used to it. I usually try to drink a lot of water when I feel hungry, but sometimes you just need to listen to your body. If you feel that hungry and feel like you can't make it, probably eating a little snack will not hurt. Eating so early does get me. I eat about 6:30, and at 9:30, I feel like I am starving! Hope this is helpful, and hopefully other people will have advice to share!
  • I find that sometimes I require food every 3 hours; others, I can go all day and not really feel hungry. I believe to have the healthiest relationship with food it is best for me to follow my hunger signals. That doesn't mean I have to over indulge or eat crap; but it does mean that when I get the symptoms of hunger (and lightheadedness can certainly be one of them) I have to feed my body, regardless of whether I have the calories in my bank to do so. I may have to cut back on a meal later to allow for a snack NOW, but nourishing my body when it asks usually helps me avoid binges later.
