I will try not to be over dramatic. I have been trying to loss weight since October. I've only lost 14lbs. I say only because my weight hasn't gone any further down in a month and it goes up and down 2 to 4lbs weekly. I don't know what to do. I've changed my eating habits. everything from eating more, eating less, exercising more and less, nothing is working. I would appreciate any advice you all can give. thanks in advance.:blushing:

By the way, I started Zumba this week. I'm hoping the constant change in calorie burn will knock something loose and get things going again. Plus it looks like a blast!:laugh:0

14 lbs is great! Don't rush it and don't give up either. Slow and steady weight loss is the kind you want. You are more likely to gain it all back if you lose it quickly. So keep pushing, make your workouts harder, more intense, add weights, run longer, do more crunches, sit up's, reps, MAKE YOURSELF UNCOMFORTABLE, cuz if you're breezing thru your workouts, they aren't challenging you anymore. Also keep a close eye on your diet, especially condiments and garnishings on salads...they sneak up on ya!! Good luck0

Hard workouts contribute so much to overall weight loss. I have friends who I have been dieting and exercising with and not to be mean but they don't work out as hard as I do in the gym. I'm always the one panting and dripping with sweat, I can't remember a time where I've ever seen them sweat (mostly because they just scurry on the elliptical at 0 resistance) profusely. They have been losing, but I've been losing a LOT more.0

Try more cadio than anything.. just eat right and make smart choices. You're doing great!!! Don't give up. 14lb is amazing!!!!! Since you have already changed up your eating and exercising I'm not so sure what else to do. Just try to eat less sodium and carbs. Remember sugar turns into fat. I can't see your diary so I don't know what you are eating but theres a few tips0

I know how frustrating that can be. :grumble: I am just coming off a 3 month stall. UP 2 down 2 never breaking through my bottom line. The important thing is to keep working at it. I tried 10 different things before I figured out a solution. For me I was very calorie heavy at the end of the day and very light in the beggining. I re-arranged my calorie distribution and that seemed to work for me. If you are logging all your food, see if you can find trends, or things you have been doing differently in the last month that you weren't doing before. Also, everyone's body is different so remember results have to come on your own time. Don't try to compare your results to others. You will find a solution, it just may take some time.0

I look forward to the day when I can do more than a 0 resistance on the elliptical  . I just did it for the first time last night. I was dripping after only 20 minutes, but I couldn't go longer or harder because my heart rate was sitting at 91% of max :grumble: . But I'm being positive. 2 weeks ago, I couldn't even do an elliptical. :smooched:
To the OP, try different exercises. Zumba is awesome!!! I burn so much and sweat so hard and it is WAAAYYY more fun than an hour on the treadmill. If your gym has a personal training maybe book them for a session or two to help you figure out new ways to change up your plans. Good luck! :laugh:0 -
Hey why not try to share your food diary so people can take a look and give you advice based on your eating habits as well.
14 lbs is GREAT!! dont get discouraged!!! Zumba will pump you up!0
