Do I rest or workout while sick?

I usually go for a speed walk in the mornings before work.
Woke up today and this pesky cold was worse than ever. Throat was on fire.
I decided to get more sleep but wondered if the walk would have helped.
Are you suppose to exercise or rest while sick?

    i do weightlifting and cardio even if im sick....... its fine...

    Doing some minor exercise can be great, but if you are a member of a gym, do everyone a favor and and do your minor workout at home. Don't share if you are sick. Walking is good and stretching, but your body needs lots of energy to fight the bug off, so don't go full steam at it. And fluids are more important than ever. Feel better.
  • I was sick last week with a cold and sore throat. When I ran on the treadmill I actually felt better.
