canned soups are high in sodium

Does anyone have a recommendation for a canned soup that is NOT high in sodium?? Or am I just going to have to make my own and freeze them? I have found "reduced sodium" soups, but that is a joke, they are still extremely high in sodium. I keep soup as an emergency back up when I need a ready made filling food. Finding out that so many foods out there are full of sodium, I had no idea how much!

Unfortunatly, most canned soup (even low sodium types) still have a significant amount of sodium in them. If your Dr has suggested that you watch your intake perhaps making and freezing is the best option.
    Wish I had better advice:flowerforyou:

Try Amy's Kitchen Light in Sodium, they have chili and soups. They are about 390 mg. for 1 cup, vs. 790 per a 1/2 cup serving of other soups. I found it at Whole Foods, Vons, Albertson's, and some health food stores too. I have to keep my sodium under 2000 mg. per day, so these at least let me have a larger serving.

I've read where Amy's brand has lower sodium soup. Now, I've not been able to find these in my area ..... so I can't corroborate that. I usually make sure that the rest of my day is lower sodium ... kind of makes up for it.

I just looked this up on-line. Now that I know what the can looks like ....... off to the biggest store in town (I'll check the health/organinc section too). No Whole Foods here!

The chicken noodle has 135mg/serving and there are two servings in the can. My favie is the black bean, yummers!!!
