Net Calories

I am SUPER confused about this. I have heard people talking about BMR calorie amounts and net calorie amounts, etc. I have a personal trainer that I have worked with for about 2 years now and she tells me to use this site to track EVERYTHING and once a week we meet and I show her and she always says my food logs look good. I thought I've been doing the right thing. However, after not seeing the results I'm after and doing a little research I noticed that my BMR amount is close to 1600 and I do not hardly EVER eat my extra exercise calories and so I am NETTING 300-400 a day. Is this OK? Ideas? I would LOVE to eat more, but am scared that if I do then I will GAIN again. I started about 2 years ago around 230 and am now down to 185 and have been in the 180's for about a MONTH now but am working with more weights now so I know a number isn't that important now but I want to make sure I am eating enough. If possibly eating more can result in losing more I see that a win-win and want in on it!

You should be netting more than 300-400 calories. Shoot for at least 1200. Being a little under is okay sometimes but based on what you said, I think you are consistently too far under.
Try eating more for a week or two and see what happens. There is a balance for everyone and you just have to find yours.0
