nightmares?

I often have dreams where my legs are worthless. They are like dead weight and I have to get somewhere desperately and all I can do is pull myself along with my arms.

This. Someone or something will be after me, and no matter how hard I try, I can't run. My legs won't move, or if they do, I'm running in slow motion.

Most of the time I wake up before I'm caught, but if I don't, I usually get hurt. I remember a specific dream where I tried to hide in some bushes outside of a cafe when I realized I couldn't run, and a guy in a ski mask with a knife just started slicing into my arms and legs. I know you aren't supposed to be able to feel pain in dreams, but I swear it hurt. I woke up crying, and actually had to turn on the light to convince myself that I wasn't bleeding.

Other times, my pets or the people I love will be in danger. I had a dream probably about 10 years ago, where I was locked in a room with my two best friends and a gun. I was told that I would have to kill one of them, if I wanted to live. I tried to bargain for their lives, and wound up shooting myself in the head. It was horrible.

I have a super crazy reoccurring bad dream. It always makes me feel icky and disgusting. I am sure that it says something profoundly horrific and scary about my psyche but I honestly don't know what. It doesn't correlate to any real world experience of mine so why I dream this is a freaky mystery; however, I often dream that I have to go to the bathroom really bad and the only bathroom available to me is disgusting. I don't mean just dirty. I mean insanely filthy with, yes I am going to type it, people's waste all around, wet floors, very bizarre and cramped conditions. The type of bathrooms that can only be found in horror movies and extreme hoarders' homes. Sometimes they are single stall, some double, up to dozens and dozens or even a 100. Weird, I know. Gets weirder. Sometimes 2 potties in one stall. Sometimes no doors and other people are present. Sometimes I am attempting to use the facility alone. It's always like the grossest thing ever and I am about to gag and freak out the whole time. Upon entering freak bathroom from hell liquid starts to absorb into my pants cuffs (heebie effing jeebies) and whatever commode I have to hover over is very hard to get to and so filthy that the unsuccessful balancing act usually ends up with something touching my thigh leading me to flee the bathroom without having done my deed and still in great physical discomfort due to my perdicament. It probably means I am going to become a serial killer one day b/c I can't imagine any normal perrson having such a dream. I will probably lose all of MFP friends for sharing this publicly. I am doomed to start accumulating cats, become a hoarder, and create the bathroom of my nightmares in my own damn house. Great!

OMG...this is my most common nightmare...that I have to shower or go to the bathroom and it's too dirty to use or too public or there's no towel etc etc. Someone...ANALYZE US!!!

i have dreams like this. but usually i'm looking for a toilet or i do but still have to again or trying to change a tampon (i had a radical hysterectomy and before i hemorrhaged horribly because of the pre-cancer. so i would spend a lot of time dealing with that). i ALWAYS wake up from the dream having to go pee. so it's my body trying to wake me up to go and of course i resist because i don't want to wake up. so that might be the reason you cannot find clean toilet. otherwise, you might wet the bed.

I get nightmares all the time! Most recent, last night... A very weeeeeeeeeird dream that turned into a nightmare that caused me to bolt upright in bed with heart POUNDING and freaked. In this.. I'm a man :noway: and almost a priest, I'm walking around the outside of this building with a women talking with her and I realise half way through the dream it's my old primary school that suddenly looks like a church. This women tells me she's evil, like she's possessed by something really old and and very evil. Anyway I turn to bring her into the church and she's backing away and so I grab her hand and see fire flare in her eyes, I pull her sprouting something about evil cannot enter the church and she'll be fine and as she crosses she suddenly bursts into flames and these flames have a conciousness that follow me as I'm trying to flee and I heard this real malevolent chuckle as the flames become a face and the mouth opens and just as it's about to cover me, THAT is when I woke up!

Then the night before, just a plain old WEIRD dream that when I woke my first thought was 'whaaaaaaaaaaaat?!?'... My hubby and I are racing around this really treacherous road (think the roads about the Andes) against this guy. You want to know why? Because he stole all our DVD's and so we had to race him to get them back, we over take and pull over forcing him to stop, hubby pulls the guy out and starts to hit him, every time he hits him another DVD would fly out of his mouth. He'd eaten our entire collection!

Now... For reoccurring dreams... Only one, had it since I was 13...
I get invited to a house and there are 2 others and we're leaded to this L shaped room that had a 3 seater sofa, a chair, a few wall lights, 3 shovels and our host... A VERY Bela Lugosi looking vampire. The Bela wannabe is talking with us and tells us to dig in the I bit of the L and so we do and we come across a coffin, open it and there's a women inside, we're wondering what to do and what this all means and she opens her eyes and they're blood red and hisses at us, we freak as she stands up (kinda floats upright like you see in old vampire films) and we turn to run and I'm last and JUST as I get to the door she grabs me and I wake up.
