how to figure out how many calories burned?

I just got done shoveling and moving about 2 -1/2 yards of top soil into my raised bed garden, about how many calories do you think I burned, any guesses? Tomorrow I will probably move another 2 - 1/2 yards if my back holds up. I will be all worth it..... Yummy home grown veggies.

    REally the only real way to figure them out is to purchase an HRM they are well worth the money. We all burn calories differently depending on our weights, ages, and etc. Just try searching around the net maybe you will get close. Yard work does burn alot of calories so keep it up and good luck.
