I have been on mfp since the end of Jan. and I've heard so many different ideas about weight lose and exercise and just wondering what everyone thinks about eating your calories? Should you only do it when weight lifting or when doing cardio as well?

It depends on your specific diet. My doctor said for me to do 1200 plus an hour of exercise a day. That means I don't eat any calories over 1200. But I need to get this weight off fast. Talk to your family doctor about what is right for you.0

If you want to lose your goal weight, eat all the cal (including the ones you burn from exercise, assuming they are calculated correctly). MFP is set up so you lose your goal weight by eating all the calories, as your original goal when you don't workout and your net goal when you do.0

That means you will have a larger deficit, which may be fine. But if you want to lose your weekly goal amount you must eat them.

LOL! I posted a blog post with the exact same title!
Eating needs to be done when your body needs fuel. You need fuel to get through a workout, digest food, breathe, etc. If you're hungry, eat! That's why you're hungry, you need fuel. You just have to learn to eat slowly, and listen to your body to give you the cue to stop.
You'll get a million and one answers on this topic, but it all boils down to eat if you're hungry, don't if your not hungry!0 -

I disagree, Hunger is not the best indication of your body's nutritional requirements. Think you could drink 4000 cals/day and still be hungry but not need anymore nutrition. Or your may eat 800 cals of veggies and stuffed but you didn't get all the fuel you need.
It is better to pay attention to how you feel (tired, moody, etc) as they are much better indicators. It takes a while to train your body to be hungry when you need fuel, not to mention many people confuse thirst with hunger.0
