I just started adding strength exercises to my routine and I'm curious why I don't get any calories for any of these exercises.

Under cardio, look up strength or weight training. Those have calories!0

This. The other part is just for tracking weight and stuff (and honestly there are much better tools out there for that. I use the jefit app on my phone).0 -
Keep in mind, resistance training burns significantly less calories than cardio since your heart rate is likely to be lower. Yes, there are exceptions.0

Thanks for your responses. It makes sense to me that I would burn fewer calories. I just don't understand why there is a selection for weights in the cardio section of the app and no calories under strength section. It seems to me that if i add exercises to the strength diary I shouldn't have enter exercises in twice.0

Yes, log it under cardio by searching "strength training". Or better yet, if you have a heart rate monitor, wear it when you strength train - create new Exercise on MFP and enter the calories burned number from your monitor.0
