Why doesn't MFP count cals for strength training?

Lifting weights burns some calories, too. Why don't they count on here?

It does under cardio..put strength training in the search thing.....I use a HRM for all of my work out.0

Because of the extreme difficulty in measuring actual calories burned, it would never be accurate.
There is no good rule of thumb to follow...0 -

I'm not sure how the cardio one estimates it, but figured that if I underestimate the time spent by a bit, it'll be a pretty safe bet.Lifting weights burns some calories, too. Why don't they count on here?
