I'm in my fourth week of P90x and in my first week it was difficult for me also. I would suggest do as Tony says, hit the pause button and return when ready or modify. I had to modify some of the workouts but I kept track of what I did and each week I try to increase or do a little better. You got to remember those people in the videos have made it through the program at least one some multiple times. They are extremely fit so don't try to keep up with them to start off. Just do your best and forget the rest, hope this helps.0

You're not use to it yet! I'm sure it'll get better as you go! Also, remember that even though you're in your living room, you still need to stretch, hydrate and wear comfortable and supportive clothing! I'm guessing you're not hydrated enough. Remember, you do what you can and push yourself to where you feel comfortable. If you feel like you're going to pass out, take it down a notch, especially if this is the first exercise regimen you take up. I think he tells you at the beginning. Do what you can without dying
On another note, I'm glad the DVDs work and I'm glad you're using them!!0 -

There are a couple of workouts during my first week that makes me lightheaded. I stop when that happens. The following week, not so much. Here are a couple of options to help avoid that. I've done it 3 times and it always happens to me.
1- Eat an apple or pear 1 hour before the workout.
2- Have a tbsp of honey after you start your workout.
3- Use any "during workout" supplement with fast digesting carbs to help you keep your energy levels up.
Again, your body is getting used to it, do as much as you can, when you start feeling dizzy, stop. It will get better.0 -
Just keep pushing play, I promise it gets easier and you'll feel great over time. Before I started a month ago I use to wake up in the mornings feeling like crap and didn't feel like I had energy to finish the day. I'm sure my diet has a lot to do with it also but now I can't weight for when my day is done at work so I can get my work out in.0

You are very welcome!! I thought the same thing when I sat there and watched them the first time I took it up and man, I was SO wrong  It's a mean workout though! Keep up the good work0 -
Like everyone said, just stick with it. I am on my second time through P90x with about a year break in between (currently on day 50). It was just as hard the first week this time as it was the last time I did it. Your body is using extra energy adapting to the movements. As your balance and coordination improve, it will need less energy to perform the exercises. Remember, next week will be easier, as will the next.
If you feel light-headed, press pause. Odds are your heart rate is spiking so you need time to let it come back down- invest in a good heart-rate monitor and learn how to use it (i.e. what a good training zone is for YOU). I just got my P90x2 DVDs last week and am already getting excited!! I fully expect that even at my current fitness level I will be pushing pause a couple times those first couple of weeks. Good luck and stick with it- that type of circuit training along with a good, clean diet works- you will see results!! (and wish me luck too).0 -
