How can I strengthen my legs?

I'm an aspiring roller derby girl but one thing that's slowing my progress is that my legs and feet get extremely sore after about 15 minutes of skating. Despite doing this for a couple times a week it never gets easier. I do have fibromyalgia but I really don't want that to stop me, so I'm hoping that its not abnormal that my legs and feet continue to hurt so much. I' m thinking I need to do some other types of exercises to strengthen my legs, feet and ankles. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm following "New Rules of Lifting for Women," which is all about heavy weight lifting. I would say the squats, lunges and dead lifts have definitely made my legs stronger. Try more strength training!0

Make sure you're getting enough potassium, and protein too! Not enough protein and your body will burn the muscle0

Squats (weighted) are a great way of increasing leg strength!
Also, deadlifts and lunges0
