So, for all of you clean eaters (Dave:) , do you mind posting (or maybe you have) what a day looks like for you, food-wise. ( I know i cant keep up w/ you on exercise. maybe when my babies are sleeping :)

just trying to get some ideas.

thanks!

I'm a beginner at this clean eating thing so there are still some gaps in what I eat.

Breakfast---oatmeal, applesauce (either homemade or no sugar added from the store), banana or omelet with peppers, onion, tomato and whole wheat toast

Lunch (our big meal) broiled fish (salmon, cod, halibut) or turkey burger or chicken breast, salad (spinach, peppers, radish, tomato, onion, cucumber, alfalfa sprouts) with spray dressing, steamed fresh or frozen vegetable (spinach, green beans, broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower)

    Dinner---Isagenix protein shake

Snacks: Kashi cereal with soy milk or nonfat yogurt
Pita with hummus or cashew butter or fresh veggies
    fruit (apple, banana, grapes)
    V-8 low sodium

We drink water or herb tea (hot or iced)

Wow Dave...a lot of that sounds really good.

I have not considered myself a clean eater so much but I do eat a lot of clean foods.

I can definitely tell a difference when I do.

I don't think it sounded preachy. It sounded like a menu you ate on a day you went hiking!

hon it may have some things we dont know to eat.......or open our eyes to something we are.

I know you took a lot of slack for the cool whip thing, but all kidding aside we shouldnt be eating that crud. I even bought a spray pump from WmSonoma so I would have good clean EVOO for my salad.

So if a good clean menu is preachy...............

    preach on brother man!!:glasses:

My dad's a preacher. When I don't want to hear a sermon I just ignore him. But he never stops preaching.

this is one day in April but note that i don't eat animal products anymore, you don't need to go that hardcore so ask Dave about tips on the meat and that stuff

i generally don't buy canned or packaged stuff, somehow they all seem to have additives and preservatives that i refuse to eat

i don't eat soy yoghurt, i just happen to buy it that day cos i was curious what it tastes like, so i ate about half of it and the rest got flushed down the drain cos i didn't like it at all

i don't call my meals names cos i don't view them as lunch or dinner anymore, i just eat what i feel like whenever i feel like it, not specific hours, so i just put numbers instead of meal names... #2 is a salad and the flax cracker is homemade cos i won't buy the ready stuff in the stores... #5 is a soup, i usually add some oil to it but was saving on the calories that day it seems

I have actually been eating really clean lately because I have no money for extra stuff.

    Breakfast:
Original Post Shredded Wheat, 2 biscuits
1 cup 8th Continent Soymilk Complete
    2 eggs

    Snack:
Plain Puffed Red Wheat Cereal, 1 cup
    1/2 cup Soymilk

    Lunch:
    1 cup romaine
    baby carrots, cucumber, cherry tomatoes
    splash of vinegar
baked chicken/ham/fish or hummous/mozzarella cheese (depends on what the caf has)
    medium banana/apple

    Post Workout:
    Organic Chocolate Soymilk
    Yo Baby Organic Yogurt

    Snack:
    Whole Grain Bread, 2 slices
    Natural peanut butter, 1 tbsp
    Honey, 1 tbsp

    Dinner:

I love breakfast for dinner! Toast, eggs, and even CENTER CUT BACON (eek!) (It's naturally leaner).

But more often I have brown rice with shredded chicken/lean beef my bf makes in the slow cooker and greens mixed in.
