Hi everyone. Not a morning person at all so I get my workout in at night time. I'd say I get home from the gym around an hour to hour and a half before I zonk out for the night. I understand the difference between the two proteins and I use ON whey protein (mixed with 1/2 cup milk) after my workouts upon getting home. Would also have 1/2 cup of cottage cheese for a slower digesting protein.
My question is would I benefit more if I used a casein protein, which will feed the muscles throughout my night or stick with the whey to get it to the muscles ASAP. I guess I am thinking of taking a scoop of both as my post workout. Wanted to get some thoughts on this. Also how much is too much protein to ingest post workout before its just being wasted or not utilized by the muscles? Or maybe thats not even possible.
Thanks.
