  • Yes. If your MFP goal says to eat 1500 calories/day (or whatever it says), that is a NET number.
So if you do ZERO exercise on a given day, you should eat 1500 calories.
If you burn 300 calories on a given day exercising, you should eat 1800 calories. The NET should always be the same.

That's the idea, yes. There are arguments for and against this. The idea is that your net calorie goal includes a deficit. If you're honest and accurate about your activity level, food intake, and exercise then yes...you should eat those calories back.

There's more detailed threads about this though. it's pretty well worn territory here :)

    Welcome and good luck.

There are a ton of posts about this. There are pros and cons for both theories... all you need to do is search the posts...

That being said...Everyone's body is different. Try one way...dont get the results you want after a few weeks, try the other. But make sure to give time for your body to adjust from one to the other.

My opinion...YES. Eat what you burn.
  • Thanks everyone for the comments :) I lost 30 lbs in january, and lost nada in february, so i joined this site to help me out. Hopefully i see results in march :)

If you are on a calorie deficit, then yes, eat them
