Hi guys, I ran my first 5K yesterday and it was wonderful!
The feeling that I had as the crowd helped cheer us on was incredible. It is the first time that I have truly felt like a runner
I didn't know what to expect so my goal was to finish it. I did start having side cramps a couple of miles into it, so I walked for a few seconds to ease that. But as I sprinted to the finish line and saw the clock read 26:47 I broke into a huge smile and threw my hands up in the air. I felt like a million bucks

Hurrah! What a success. You are, indeed, a full-fledged runner. And in under 27minutes, you were averaging a 9-min-mile. That's great! Especially for the first one!! Good for you!
I've got my first 5k on the 10th of May. I'm pretty nervous, but it'll be a lot of fun. And I'll take your word that it's amazing.
go you, go you, go you! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:0 -
Congrats on the 5km, and the great time, but my big question is, HOW CUTE ARE YOU?!?
You look gorgeous! Tell me that pic was taken before and not after!0 -
GREAT JOB!!! That's a pretty impressive time for a first 5K! Most people are happy to break 30.
Well done. :drinker:0 -

I don't run anymore, but I still remember my first 5K like it was yesterday! It is amazing! The crowds cheering is so helpful and what a high! Now I'm in the crowd, but still cheer on even the slowest because I remember what an accomplishment it was and how good I felt.
Keep up the good work! :flowerforyou:0
