I dont really have time to look through all the threads for an answer as I'm at work (shh ;) ), so heres my question-
I count my calories & I put myself down as "sedentary" so whenever I work out, say, eliptical for 45 minutes, I have an extra 500 calories to eat. Being sedentary obviously my calorie allowance is lower than I want it to be, hence me working out.
Anyways, I'm starting 30 day shred tomorrow and from what I've gathered from this thread- those 20 min only burn like 120 calories.
So I guess when it comes down to it is mathmatically it makes sense to me to eat my calories burned.. But I'm wondering- what do yo udo and why?

personally, I eat back most of my calories. i EARNED them, but mainly because the body needs that fuel to function in a healthy way. the muscles are growing between workouts, I look at it like I'm feeding them because they're hungry

I would say eat them back. When you don't eat them back you may create too large of a deficit. That might not matter to some, depending on their size. But eventually, that could 'cause a plateau over a period of time.
