Coffee, Black

One of my friends posted her diary and I saw that she included her coffee. I hadn't been since I drink it black and straight up. But I thought I would look it up anyway and found that coffee, black ground and brewed with tap water contains 2 calories per cup along with some sodium and potassium. How is this possible?
In all my years of dieting, I was always told black coffee was 0 calories. Have I really been lied to all these years?

Yes.
Coffee has few calories, but it does have calories. The only truly "free" item is water.0
