Retraining hunger/body

Hi folks!

I have just started by diet back up again after several months of being lazy. How long does it take you all to retrain your hunger system to expect the delicious, healthy, smaller portion meals as opposed to the Subway or cheeseburgers or something bad like that.

My problem is when I am done eating my second meal of the day, which is usually a serving of lunch meat and a banana, or a small salad, but then I crave something else...like last week I went and bought slice of buffalo chicken pizza from a nearby deli... :(

Anyway, TL:DR Tips/tricks to retrain hunger pangs?
