OCD Eater!! Anyone else??

So, I have OCD. But until more recently I haven’t realized exactly what kind of hold it has on my life, especially my eating habits! I am a compulsive eater, tied very much into my stress and mental wellbeing… which right now are both HORRIBLE!

I’m frustrated because I know that I want to be eating healthy – but then my OCD rears its ugly head and suddenly all I know is that I want to eat fried bread with cheese and Caramilk bars. There are two warring sides of my brain and it is really, really hard to ignore the OCD side. This is the hardest part of my weight loss journey… and right now I am at my wits end!!

I am medicated (yucky) and I am going to be getting counseling, but my first appointment is still a month away and right now I am feeling at a loss for what to do…

Does anyone else out there deal with OCD fueled eating? Any tips or tricks to make the OCD monster back down and stop showing its teeth?
