My 1 1/2 year old daughter is getting over being sick. she wants me to hold her ALL the time. crying if i don't. i tried laying her down for her nap and all she did was cry. her naptime is what i use to exercise. so i did a 20 minute amped up workout while she was in her room crying. i feel bad but i know she is just crying because she wants me to hold her while she goes to sleep. i have tried laying her down after she falls asleep but she has been waking up crying until i hold her again. im soooooo frustrated!!! and on top of that i feel like *kitten* for letting her cry!

Of course you aren't a bad mom. You are probably a great mom.
If it happens again, and you don't want to hear her cry, you might try taking her for a walk. When my kids were that little and got inconsolable/just wanted to be held, I would stick them in a carrier and go for a long walk. Made them happy and helped me burn off some of my frustration.0 -
You are an amazing Mom my lovely niece
Sometimes we have to put ourselves first and take care of ourselves so that we can better take care of our families. I wish I would've figured that out at your age, maybe I wouldn't have got up to 212 lbs.!! Love ya girl!

I can only work out at naptime, too. Very difficult when my 2 1/2 year old has trouble sleeping, as he tends to take his room apart if he's left alone too long
I would probably take a day off to cuddle and snuggle but agree with the above poster in the idea of putting your little one in a carrier or stroller and heading out for a walk if at all possible. Too many times mommies put themselves last, a little bit of crying isn't going to hurt, especially if it means you're around to live a long, healthy life!
