I have the same problem. I go over just by having some grapes. I do go over, but just try to look at it and make sure most of it is coming from fruit.0

Planning is the only way I stay away from sugars. I have to make it the focus of my meals when I look up recipes for the next day and such but it pays off immensely and I learn what ingredients I can always go to.0

What is the goal supposed to be? I primarily look at the fat, carb and protein numbers but just found where it gives your sugar totals as well. But, I don't know if my number is in goal or not. Thanks!0

my morning coffees were so sweet and creamy..and using up alot of my calories..i switched to honey and almond milk.
i am really liking the honey i put it on plain yogert in smoothies..fruit salad..etc!
honey is still a fair amount of cals..so there is also stevia extract..or agave nectar..many sugar replacements out there..check out some options at your local health food store0 -
I go over my sugars everyday, but I eat a lot of fruit. I wouldn't worry about it when its from fruit. You could substitue sugar with sugar substitutes if you use sugar in coffee or tea.0

I do plan out my meals but I have a banana and a coffee with cream-sugar and I am at my limit which is 24 g of sugar,I find even celery has some sugar in it,I will try the honey in my coffee instead of sugar ,see if that makes a difference.thanks for all the suggestions ,0

You don't count fruit or other natural sugar. Just count processed/added sugar. Still, it isn't easy but then again, not as hard as staying under on sodium. Now there's a challenge!
It all comes down to eating unprocessed home made healthy fruits and veggies and whole grains, etc.0 -
I find it hard too. I avoid dried fruits and don't snack mindlessly on fruit. I still eat fruit, but don't think of it as something I can eat as much as I want of, like celery, and I don't drink fruit juice. Fructose is still sugar and actually is more likely to be converted to fat than glucose. I don't count lactose though as it's processed differently. But added sugar is the main one, I try not to eat any bought sweet treats, if I want something sweet I'll make my own so I can control the sugar content and use some stevia. I won't use any artificial sweeteners though.0
