Hi, can anybody recommend a good set of bathroom scales. I have an electronic set but even moving them half an inch can result in a massive gain or loss so I cannot rely on them for weekly weigh ins. I am in the UK so they need to be available in the UK. I don't have any carpets so that isn't an issue either. Thanks for any advise & recommendations you can give me :-)

I have a Withings, it's a bit extravagant as it connects to your wifi router and logs your weight/lean/fat to a website/ app. It's pretty great!
  • I seem to have the same problem with digital ones... So I use an old school dial one, springs and everything. Seems to be consistant. Probably can be found at any large box store you have there. Good Luck!

Pretty much anything made by Salter is good. A couple give random readings, but they tend to be the £15 ones.
Whatever you do, don't get the weight watchers ones. They're the worst for random weights lol I gained/lost 5lb in 2 mins the last time I used mine. It then got replaced.

Same boat with my electronic one - it's cheap. Just weighed myself this morning and the difference in weight was around 4lbs between the first and second time I stepped on the scales. Very unreliable.

I've read many reviews on Tanita. It is supposed to be good but expensive.

thanks everyone, think I will go to John Lewis because at least then I might get a chance to get on the scales & move them around to see if the readings change. I am sure that will keep people amused watching me hop on and off scales :-) Can't see Argos letting me open boxes and moving scales around the store to see if the readings are accurate!!!
