What do you count as exercise?

So I know I wouldn't count my everyday activities as exercise, but, wondering about this one....
I just spent 1 hr 40 minutes in the yard doing yard work, raking and burning leaves, on my feet the whole time, using my arm and back muscles for the raking, and my abs/core bending over to pick things up, moved several large rocks and a patio table by myself. I had my HRM on, and when done it said that I had kept my HR in my target zone (although average was on the low side) for 1 hr 27 mins or 87% of the time.
This type of yard work is not something I normally do, maybe 3 o 4 times a year.
Would you count it as cardio exercise?
I'm saying yes.
