Working out, and feeling like my calories the MFP gives me is too many. I'm thinking that is maybe why I'm not losing. I'm always under my calories, i've lost inches but the weight thing im not noticing so much as I normally do when I start losing. Frustraiting. I know musccle weighs more than fat. however i still think my calories are way too high set at 1700.

Muscle does not weigh more than fat, its just more dense ....Adjust your caloric intake if that is not working for you. But I would take inches over weight any day...It means your building muscle :drinker:0

Losing inches is much more important than losing pounds. Losing pounds could be losing excess weight OR losing muscle mass. Your profile says you joined in January and have lost 11 pounds...that is a pretty great loss! You are losing and your body is shrinking, you just aren't getting the satisfaction of seeing a number on a scale. It's hard to not live and die by the scale but you are making progress. Keep it up!0

the number on the scale doesn't mean as much as everyone seems to think -- inches are HUGE!0

Congratulations! Though you're not seeing the scale move, you are making great progress in losing inches. With all the new muscle you are getting, your body is a better fat burning machine! Keep up the great work, and be more excited with the inches than the scale!0
