Hello everyone!
My name is Tia and I joined MFP yesterday after seeing an ad for it on shape.com. I don't have a significant amount of weight to lose (I'd still like to see 10 or so disappear ), but I am looking more to help myself track what I eat, make better choices and all around get into better shape. I've just started doing Zumba twice a week and will soon be adding a Saturday workout at the Y while my son takes swimming lessons.
I'm really trying to get into the mindset that it is not so much your weight, but your level of fitness that counts. Sometimes its hard. Society kinda does gravitate and cater to the stickfigures. Maintaining a good amount of self-esteem is a battle in itself. I'm really hoping that MFP will assist me in my journey. Hopefully I'll find some folks here that are in the same boat and we can help each other as well.

Welcome! It sounds like you have a realistic plan to be healthy for life! Tracking what you eat takes a little bit of time in the beginning, but it really is worth it!0
