Hi there,
Can anyone share any before/during/after pics of your calves/ankles. I have always had thick legs and just looking for some motivation or tips to help slim them down as I continue on my journey.
TIA!

I diddnt take any before pics of my legs, mine werent too big, but I did find the more cardio on my elliptical I did the better shape they showed. It was one of the first places that really started to show the fat loss.0

Don't have any before/after pics, but my calves went from 16inches to 14 with running and yoga. Running will help trim you legs, and yoga will help lengthen the muscles. And over all weight loss will help trim them down too.0

I have never had small calves but after 2 kids and 30 lbs my calves are huge. I saw pics of me in a dress while on vacation this past summer and I vowed to lose weight. So I too would be very interested in some way to reduce my calves.0

I soooo have this issue.
no pics really, but I have lost about an inch. no way to "spot reduce" but losing weight over-all SHOULD help.
downside - if you're naturally big there, you'll stay proportionally big there. sadly
BUT smaller is still smaller, so things like high boots n such will fit better. just don't get your hopes up that you'll magically have dainty little legs once you lose weight. your body shape won't change as much, it will just be smaller.0 -
Mine doesn't really show up in my pictures but the difference between a size 12 me and a size 6 me means fitting into knee high boots. This just came from weigh loss (through a calorie deficit) and strength training. I can do 310lbs calf raises on the leg press machine. Just throwing that out there for women who might be afraid that strength training will make your calves bigger.
Also, I'm not trying to start fights but you cannot not "lengthen" muscles unless you physically grow your bones as the muscles are permanently attached to said bones. Any thing that claims you can is just a marketing gimmick.0 -
Thanks guys, I think I might start taking pics of my calves as part of my log.0
