Calorie burns are very individual, and a lot of it depends on how hard you worked. With Plyo, I burn about 500. I'm female, 37, 5'9", 120 lbs. I've also been doing P90X for a year, and my calorie burns are a lot lower nowadays because my body is more efficient.

You might enter it under High Impact Aerobics, or consider getting a heart rate monitor. A HRM is the only way to know for sure.

    Good luck! :flowerforyou:

I second the HRM! It's going to constantly go up and down each week and your current range is going to depend on your resting heart rate, fitness level, and how hard you were pushing it.

Sandy, you are correct about the body becoming more efficient. I was amazed how well I biked in 90+ degree heat over the weekend. The only difference was the amount of water required went up by double.

Also, plyo and other P90X routines are much easier now (I still stink at yoga).

As Sandy mentioned, calories burned is an individual thing.

I'm 6'2" and 243 and I'm typically burning between 900-1200 calories in the plyo workout.

I've dropped 45 lbs on this program, so far, and my body has yet to become "efficient." I'm still burning about as many as when I started.
