Would you donate to this "cause"??

There is a local donation night where they are asking women to bring their old formal dresses. The charity will sell the dresses, and the money will go to spa services for "needy women" The charity is being put on by a local spa.

My question is - Would you donate to this (a dress) or do you think its just a scam? I don't know 100%, but I'm assuming that the spa services will be done (and the money will go to) the spa that is putting this on.

Honestly as a believer I give because I know it is the right thing to do. If the people don't do what they say God and Karma deals with them.
