Lunches

HELP! I need healthy lunch ideas. I'm finding that my smart ones and lean cuisines are packed with entirely too many carbs and put we way over for the day most of the time. And I'd rather have something a little more satisfying. I have the ability to go home for lunch, so thats nice.

What are you quick, go to lunches?

You are lucky to be able to go home for lunch. Sandwiches or salads, and not just veggies in that salad, make it filing & healthy with lean meats, beans, nuts, cheese. I have dinner leftovers for lunch a lot, or peanut butter sandwiches. Sometimes my lunches are really just a bunch of snacks...like yesterday I had hardboiled eggs, string cheese, peanuts and an apple.

Grill chicken on Sunday and grill enough to throw some in the fridge. warm up some each day for the meal you want. Like a grilled salad on monday, tuesday grilled chicken with a side of brocili from a steamer bag, etc. etc.. You can even have grilled chicken sandwiches.

Too much chicken? Go with Turkey or another preference of yours.

All else fails, Go to Subway! LOL!

It all depends, anything fits in a wrap. My favorite is a wrap with tuna and mustard instead of mayo and all the veggies you can fit. Side that with soup or some steamed vegetables and it can fill up a 260 lb guy. Good luck message me if you want more.

I eat soy yogurt with fresh fruit and a nutrient-packed protein shake (that is about 375 calories) for my lunch on days that I work out.

Yay subway!! If you just get a 6inch sub with meat and veggies only, its only about 280 calories.

Once a week on my day off, I make a crockpot soup for my lunches. Taco soup, chicken noodle soup, pea soup, lentils, etc. Pair it with some laughing cow cheese on either crackers or a low cal/low carb tortilla, some fruit and a veggie.

    Wraps are good, too. Yum!

I guess we're all saying if you plan ahead you can do this! Make extras of dinner and you can make it into a good lunch.
