What are your favorite staples to keep around for quick meals or snacking?

  • cuties, almonds, sugar snap peas, bananas, apples, beans, carrots, pears, and i eat a lot of deli style meats, so i get more protein. i'm always low in that department.

    I need ideas for more calcium and iron. i read that calcium transports more fat out of the body, and i don't like milk and i can't too much more cheese. Any good supplements?

    for snacking, i keep roasted whole natural almonds around. it curbs my hunger just enough to last me till my next full meal. I also keep fig newtons and 90 cal. cereal bars nearby, just in case i want to change it up.

    unsweetened dried fruits (figs, dates, banana coins),
    canned beans of all varieties,
    tinned fish (anchovies, sardines, kippers etc for quick pasta dishes or weekend breakfast,
    garlic infused olive oil,
    cashew and peanuts
    dark chocolate

    I LOVE CANNED BEANS FOR THE TIMES IN BETWEEN. GLAD IM NOT THE ONLY ONE.
