Help! What am I doing Wrong?

I have a lot of weight to lose and did lose a bit last year when I started using MFP to check calorie intake, etc. I wasn't very serious or consistent about it, but I lost 20 pounds, which has inspired me to think I COULD lose the weight I really need to lose. In the last month, I have, for the first time in my life, exercised consistently. I exercise more days than I don't, and my calorie intake has been about 1200-1300 daily. I want to be losing 1-2 pounds a week. But in the last month, I haven't lost anything. What am I doing wrong?

again you need to open your diary so we can see what your consuming then give you the best advice we can, although if your exercising most days your body could be in starvation mode due to you not eating enough. I have seen a lot of people on here having to up their calories just so they can lose weight maybe you need to as well, just have to experiment and see what works best for you, also some people may say that you need to have a net calorie intake of 1200 even after exercising so again do whats best for you x0

Lots of exercise + little food = body conserves energy = little to no weight loss
Eat 50-75% of your exercise calories back. It should help. And open your diary so we can look at it.0 -
If you are not drinking enough water and/or consuming too much sodium you could be retaining water.
If you are exercising quite a bit you should be taking measurements as well because the scale is not always an accurate measure when you are building muscle.
Also it is important to remember that everything that you put in your mouth counts...even if it's a sample or "just a bite." The small things can add up really quickly.
And lastly, if you are taking care of yourself and making healthy choices your body will catch up. I can not guarantee when, but I can guarantee that nothing will change if you stop.
Good Luck too you and your journey +60
