Trader Joes: A Rant

Yes, I adore Trader Joe's but I do have a complaint!

They seem to discontinue a lot of my favorite things! :grumble:

They had these great Southwest Gourmet Flatbreads that are now kaput and also...this wonderful Soba noodle salad that was DELICIOUS and wonderful for the hot weather. Nice, light, quick lunch. That is gone too!! :frown:

Has anyone else experienced this? I guess these items don't get enough people trying them and they get rid of it?? :ohwell:

It won't keep me away.....but just had to vent!! :laugh: :laugh:

Yes!!!!!! They had a veggie mix called Green with Envy.....discontinued. I have been looking all over the place for these mixed vegetables. :grumble: How can they tease me like this????

Maybe they'll be like McDonalds and the McRib, and bring it back every once in a while as a special. I never really understood why McD's did that. Do people really eat those?:huh:

Nope. I'm just fine this morning. Had a good workout, endorphins pumping. People who exercise are usually pretty happy people. :glasses:

I second Natasha. My nearest Trader Joe's is like an hour and a half away, I've never been to one

If you have access to a Farm Fresh, Food Lion or Harris Teeter....there is a replacement in the organic section by Seapoint Farms called "Eat your Greens" ! This has the same mix. I am still patiently waiting for my special order to arrive.

Isn't that always the way? Sounds like when you find something you like, buy lots and lots of it and stash it in the eventuality that they will assuredly discontinue it.

I can't even get the no sugar added spaghetti sauce here in po-dunk. They all like their food fried and then fried again. I feel you, though. It seems like as soon as I find something on the healthy side that I like, it's gone here!

(Every store known to man quits carrying my favorite foods as soon as I find that new food )

Have you asked a person how to petition a return, or how to buy it?

The staff seems pretty friendly and customer oriented.
