I've been seeing a lot of posts regarding the useage of a HRM. Just wanting a recommendation for one that is pretty cheap but good enough. I KNOW that my heart is beating faster when I exercise but I would like to know the correct amount of calories burned. I would also like to know how many steps I take in a day........is there a device that does both things?

Polar FT4 - Love it and most of my "pals" use it too. They have men's and women's versions- I got mine on Amazon for $65 and it does everything I need it to (tracks calories burned, heart rate range, current + average heart rates during a workout, etc.).0

Just got it today! I read several reviews about it on here and other sites. It comes with watch AND chest strap. I used it a bit ago and it works great!
Edit for price: $39.290 -
I use the Sportline Watch/Chest Strap combo HRM from WalMart. About 50 bucks...works pretty well. Doesn't count steps though.0
