I have noticed many times that upon scanning a bar code things are incorrect!!! They will get the right food but the numbers are way off!!
I scanned some roast beed the other day and Cals were under by 20, fat over by 2g and carbs over as well. .. Also, I don't get why people add things such as Burgers calculated with half a bun??? I guess for some unknown reason people are eating their burgers with no top bun??

anyway, thats my rant!!!

Thanks you

Manufacturers will change their product contents frequently, due to availability of ingredients, to improve them, to cost save etc - all of which change the nutritional deck. In the UK supermarket own label products could be tweaked as often as every 3-6 months.

Barcodes generally only change if the overall weight of the pack changes, or it's something completely new.

I wouldn't get too worried when the changes are minor (i.e 20 cals) as this is majority estimation anyway, it's great that MFP allows users to add to the database and at the least it gives you a ballpark figure which you can adjust if you really want to.

As mentioned above, manufacturers change their ingredients frequently, so what is correct for you may not have been correct a year ago. Just update the entry.

Some people do only eat half the bun as it significantly cuts the calories and the carbs. I have done so myself on several occasions.
