That would bore me as well. Even with a TV in front of me, I can just do so much treadmill before I get bored.

as someone who laps a park to run (its like .42 miles around the circle) I notice that I completely fade out, I have NO idea how many times I've looped that thing when I'm done, I used to try and count to keep track of my general mileage and then I'd finish my time and think "wait how many was that?" Although at least my park has an uphill and a downhill and some curvy bits. I think it would really bother me to be more or less turning right (or left) CONSTANTLY -- I would want to stop and start running hte other way around every 50 laps or less my inside leg would get all tired.

Please tell me they allowed ipods!!!
  • The ONLY thing that kept me going on my marathon was the scenery. Yikes, that would be so boring.

Funniest comment on that story was that someone should challenge themselves to running an indoor marathon while a loop of Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up played the whole time.
  • Awesome! I was signed up to do an Indoor Marathon this past January (ONU Polar Bear Indoor Marathon), but had to withdraw due to injury. I just wanted to do something different.
  • hmmm this corner looks familiar

I've heard of them doing that at prisons.. I've also heard of treadmill marathons. Either way. It sounds AWFUL.

I can't even train on the same base this year as I trained last year and it is far more miles.

Also I think I could totally do it if my playlist had lots of funny on it. My half in February breezed by listening to Louis CK.
