I would not reccommend puking as a way to lose weight. Look after yourself girl and get better!

Whoa, whoa....... Hope you don't think I'm doing that!!! :noway:

I don't mean to puke, like I said in the beginning...... I'm working with my doctor to see why I'm having such a problem.... Been on new meds, and am trying to get my PCOS under control.

The reason I asked the question is because I wanted to just delete what I ate, and eat more..... But I didn't know if any cals were absorbed and I would be over-eating if I did delete it. I feel absolutely fine now..... Well, my stomach does, not my cramps........

I'm really thinking it's just stress... work, trying to get pcos straightened out, first time having a TOM in 5 months (and have had it for the past month)... My body is wacked right now.

Gosh, I'm not like that at all......... :indifferent:

Nope, gastric emptying takes longer than 30 minutes for just about everything except water, and even when emptying takes place, it's only about 2mL at a time. It takes several hours to absorb any nutrients, and about half a day from ingestion to excretion.

I dislike that the inflection in my voice doesn't come through. I can be very sarcastic somethimes. But I still don't tink it's the best way to lose weight:wink:

Good luck! I would also say to steer clear of acidic food. If gastric emptying does occur, those foods can irritate the beginning of your intestines and cause more hydrocholoric acid production in your stomach to increase digestion. Keeping your protein at 15% (if it's not there already) may also help until you get it figured out. Try to relax and eat slowly, as stress can cause vomiting as well. Hope that helps!

I just wanted to let you all know I'm doing much better, and I'm NOT preggo! LOL

Diverticulitus........ Got a diagnosis on Friday after being sick for two weeks straight. I'm feeling SO much better now that I'm on the full dose of antibiotics.

Thanks for all the well wishes, you guys really mean a lot to me! I'm back on the band waggon now (still taking it slow), but am ready to get back in there!!!!

Pip - I haven't been on much in the past couple of weeks - party's done and it's time to get back to my routine. Just saw this thread. I'm glad that they were FINALLY able to give you a diagnosis (Bout time, doncha think???). So sorry that you're going through this!

My dad has diverticulitis... as long as he watches what he eats, he does ok - but the pain that he has when he's not watching - WOW - it hurts to watch him. And... honey, I'm sorry for yet another negative on the preggo front ... it will happen for you. I know it will!

Keep your chin up and let me know how things are going...

Hey sonja! :) Glad the party went well, I'm sure the DH was feeling loved!

My sister has it too, and was telling me that it's just popcorn that gives it to her. She said to get better, and start slowly introducing foods containing seeds and nuts; I may be the same..... I was having one of those 100 cal mini bags of popcorn every day. I'm sure that's what did it....

That's ok. I wasn't thinking I was preggo, so I didn't get my hopes up. It'll happen............ Someday.
