Hi everyone,
I'm new to this site. I'm 25 years old (almost 26), married, no kids. I need help to get started on my get healthy journey. I have a gym membership, but I have no idea on what to do there. I work fulltime and try my hardest to get to the gym right after. If I go home, I stay on the couch. I weigh 165lbs and would like to get to 145lbs hopefully by August. I FEEL LOST. I don't know what to eat and what to do. I work out for 45 - 60 minutes a day and burn 300-500cal a day. Am I on the right track or what??? Any suggestions? Any idea on meal plans? I can't get rid of all my carbs and I am allergic to spinach and leafy greens. I can't do any classes at the gym because my schedule doesn't work with these. if anyone would like to comment, I would love it. Thanks...Kate

How many calories are you eating? Is your goal to be at a certain umber or to have a better body? What do you do at the gym? Cardio? Weights?

My advice would be to look into a program such as New Rules of Lifting for Women. To get abetted body you need to lift weights and lift HEAVY weights. That is the best idea for your body.

Another option is if you can afford it a Personal Trainer.

Ultimatly cardio will give you your current body but smaller. Weights wi give you a better version of your body. I've been lifting weights for around three weeks and being around 234lbs I have a lot more to lose but I can see a waist emerging already!

your gym should offer you a free walkthrough and complimentary training session.

i definitely second the new rules of lifting for women program! i did a few years ago and i have just restarted it again today. if you decide to go that way, then definitely make sure you tell the trainer that you want to learn how to use the things in the weight room (oly bars, squat racks, weight plates, etc). i definitely agree with the above poster about cardio. if you want to see results then go for weights and when you do cardio make sure it's HIIT (high intensity interval training).

also if you have food allergies that's fine, you can always work around them. i also have food allergies (gluten) and what i do is focus on the things that i can eat rather than thinking of what i cant eat.

if it's hard for you to get to the gym after work, is it possible to go before?
