30DS getting easier - still a work out

So I just finished day 7 on level 1 of 30DS. I still have problems with the push-ups but at least I can keep up now if I am on my knees. I figure I will move up to level 2 after 10 days even though I can only do the easy on a couple of the exercises. I always have and always will suck at push-ups. Even in the military I just barely made the minimum to pass the Physical Fitness Test. My knees are bad so I keep things low-ish impact. Anyway, it's definitely getting easier, so why am I sweating harder on day 7 than day 1?

Perhaps b/c as you become more fit and accustomed to the exercises you're actually working harder at them, hence the increased sweat. I'm on day 2 of level 2 and am surprised at how much harder it is. But that may be b/c I'm not used to the exercises.0
