... is it safe that I have lost 4.8 pounds since Monday? That's almost 5 pounds in less than a full week. I've been eating between 150-250 over my recommended calories and making sure I burn 250-350 in my workout. I know losing weight fast is considered unhealthy, but it feels good to be shedding it so fast!

    you can lose upto 10lb in a week when you start dieting,,, its just water retension caused by complex carbohydrates

    Yes, it will slow down and you may have a couple of ups and downs in the first few weeks until you settle into a steady, slow loss. Have your weight loss set to no more than 1lb a week and eat all or most of your exercise calories.

    Your body will fluctuate day to day so its best to weigh yourself once a week same day same time same scale :)
