Do you have to consume additional calories to make up the calories you have burned while exercising? I'm usually under my calories by 500/day due to exercise. Is it bad to be 500 under?

You should find out what your BMR is (cals burned at rest) and don't eat less than this. Your body needs those cals to function. As long as you're eating at least this much, you may not necessarily need to eat back all your exercise cal.
EXAMPLE
I burn about 1370-1400 BMR
I maintain at around 1700 something
I usually eat between 1400-1500 cal and still lose 1-2lbs per week
while working out 5-6x/week0 -

I have gone as high as 1000 calories. How? Going to my Martial Arts class and then getting dragged by my girl to "support" her with her Insanity workouts. I end up burning about 1600 calories between the two. I am still alive :happy:0
