Question about scales?

I went to the doctor's last week and got weighed. I was 8 lbs heavier on their scale. I was wearing clothes, but there is no way my clothes weigh 8 lbs. I have lost weight since starting. Maybe my scale is off or maybe their old school scale.

I totally understand your frustration! This happens all the time. Don't get discouraged; just keep weighing yourself on the same scale to gauge your success.

the most important thing is the beautiful smile in your pic

the number on the scale is a frustrating animal most of the time

if you must weigh yourself (I dont anymore) then use the same scale at the same time with the same birthday suit

    keep smiling:smile:

Is it less than the last time you weighed there?

The most accurate weight will be first thing in the morning after using the bathroom and before eating.

When do you suppose they last calibrated their scale? I would say most Dr. offices do not calibrate them nearly enough with all of the people hopping on and off them day in and day out. I used to weigh in at WW and had a lot of Dr. appointments and it was ALWAYS at least 5 pounds off at the Dr. I trusted the WW scales because I weighed on them weekly. Make sure you calibrate yours at home, too, though! As long as you do that and it's on a flat, level surface you've got nothing to worry about. Oh, and always weigh in the morning, after you've used the potty and totally nekkid. :blushing:

Just go by your scale at home its way easier ..as long as your losing on that then the next time u go to the Docs no matter what your wearing it will show a loss:flowerforyou:

I ALWAYS weigh a lot more than what my scale says at home when I'm at the Dr.

But then again, my appointment is usually in the afternoon, I'm not naked and I usually haven't gone to the bathroom.

I wouldn't weigh too much into it.
