When it comes to Daycare Workers:

Washington state is 1 of 7 states in the U.S. that REQUIRE Information regarding:
State Fingerprints
Federal Fingerprints
Criminal History
Child Abuse & Neglect
Sex Offender Registry

Can you believe that other states DO NOT REQUIRE ALL OF THESE for people who work at day cares and preschools?! These are the children of the future, would you leave YOUR child with a convicted sex offender if YOU KNEW?

CHECK YOUR STATE, CHECK YOUR DAYCARE, YOU NEVER KNOW WHO IS WATCHING YOUR CHILDREN.

I never thought about this, but it was brought up on the Today Show, and i looked it up, and MANY states do NOT require these standards. Your children could be being watched by sex offenders, child abusers, and people with extensive criminal backgrounds.

If you live in one of the states that dont require these, get a background check on EVERY person you trust with your child, your little on is the most important thing in your life, so PROVE IT to them, dont trust their little life with someone who doesnt deserve to be trusted.

A 2 year old boy was asphyxiated after his parents assumed their daycare center was safe, they did unannounced pop-ins, they called all the time, they talked to the boy about his day, and come to find out, the woman running the daycare had multiple counts of child abuse, she was convicted of killing her husband, and she had many drug convictions, WHO THE HELL let her continue to run a daycare?!

Dont trust what people say, PEOPLE LIE. Check for yourself, before its too late. Dont let one more child become a victim, ESPECIALLY YOUR CHILD, no one cares more about your babies than you.

Thank you for posting this. This is extremely important. I think that people assume daycare workers are looked into, because they should be!!

I totally agree! i volunteered at a daycare and i was SHOCKED when i saw this! I live in Washington which is one of the few that require ALL of these, but other states only require state finger prints, thats INSANE.

I had to have a background check to be a volunteer at the grade school that my daughter attends. I love that they do that.

2 that I know of......no seriously....daycare is not regulated that well in Nebraska either. Thank god that my sitter has been in business for 30 years and she usually takes care of the same children for years, mine have been going for 8 years now.
