    I take a look at the whole profile, pics included. But the pictures don't determine whether or not I add them as a friend or anything.

    I never add random people that send friend requests, only people who I know through somewhere else, literally keep FB to a dozen our so friends.

    I look at the entire profile before I invite a friend....but if I get an invite, I just accept it without looking. If htere is an issue later, I can always prune them....

    I never check the profile when someon FR me. Figure I'll scare them off soon enough.
    Typically I find my friends by their posts or they are friends with my other friends. It's a Motley Crew I must say.
