It would be helpful to open your diary.

I don't mean to sound offensive, but the idea of cutting fat is generally something that people do because it seems to make sense that cutting fat in your food means cutting fat off your body. But there are lots of great reasons to eat fats from certain sources, and there are several different types of fat. The amount of fat in your diet does not correlate to the amount of fat on your body. So I have a couple of questions to ask in order for me to give you an educated answer:

Are you talking about saturated, mono or polyunsaturated fats?
What is your target goal in terms of saturated fat/unsaturated fats?
Is there a reason you have decided to limit your fat intake?
  • Can't see your food diary so it's hard to give helpful advice. WHAT foods are you eating that have so much fat in them?

It's taken a while for me to be "de-programmed" but I have learned through much research that what I thought was healthy low fat (keeping under 20 grams a day) actually has nothing to do with weight loss. I eat nuts and avacados which are both extremely high in fat by the low fat diet standards, but are both extremely great foods for your body.

A handful of nuts which carries about 14 grams of fat as a snack vs a serving of Snackwells cookies or some variation of 100 calorie pack is so much better for you, will keep you satisfied for much longer and your body will thank you for the whole, unprocessed food.

It comes down to food choices and educating yourself on what foods contain what macros. Cheese, butter, nuts = high fat items. Speaking of fat, fat is not your enemy like it's been said to be. I'm not sure of your weight but a guideline to follow would be to consume between .35 and .45g fat per lb of body weight.

If weight loss is your goal, and you are getting ample amounts of all three macronutrients, I would not be concerned with going over on your fats unless it was putting you in a calorie surplus. No matter what your macros are, if you're eating in a deficit, you will lose weight.

Have you thought about making an appointment for a session with a nutritionist? Your goals with macronutrients are a little too specific if you're making statements like "I do not like healthy foods"... What you really need is a diet overhaul and to figure out foods you can use to make meals that you enjoy but won't sabotage your weight loss goals. I know you hate veggies, but they are the best things you can put in your body! I bet there are some ways you can prepare vegetables that you can actually enjoy. And dairy (yogurt, kefir) can be really healthy. I love cheese too and in the past I probably could have eaten a block of it in one day LOL... You don't have to eliminate foods you enjoy, you just have to understand that the more high-calorie foods you eat, the harder it will be to lose weight.

You won't see weight loss by cutting fat. I would definitely talk to a nutritionist so she/he can build you a nutrition plan.

I wasn't a fan of many vegetables, but I put that extra effort into it and I was eating stir fry's. Some of the veggies in there I had never tried, but it actually wasn't that bad. I now enjoy a stir fry on a friday. I also have 2 roast dinners in the week which contains lean meat, a little mash potato (no butter or salt) and a lot of veggies. I've stopped having roast potatos, yorkshire puddings and potato croquettes. Really does help and to be honest I am getting full pretty quickly from the veggies alone. I make the extra effort to eat the meat for the protein.

You need to cut out on some of the unhealthy foods like the pizza's, ready made sandwiches, etc. I also buy quorn products such as the sausage, cottage pies and lasagna's. I have atleast 2 of the quorn meals in a week. I have the quorn sausage when I have omelette's which can be quite often.

I also noticed that you've had eggs a few times. Try reducing the amount of yolks you eat. The yolk contains fat, cholestrol and a bit of protein. The white has no fat, no cholestrol, no carbs and a bit more protein. I always have 3 egg whites and 1 yolk for the nice taste and color :D

Overall, you really need to learn to love veggies. Low in fat, low in sugar, low in carbs, high in fiber and will fill you up.

TOTALLY disagree with you here, sorry. Cut cholesterol from unhealthy sources, sure, but eggs are 100% valuable.
