Am i correct in assuming that beans (kidney etc) are a good way to add protein plus fiber to a plain old garden salad? I get tired of eating grilled chicken as much as i do and although i know beans won't be as much protein should be a good substitution art times right? if so, what is a good bean to add to salads?

Do you like cottage cheese? If so, try adding that to your salad. More protein than beans.0

Depending on the type of salad i'm making. If I make a southwest type salad, black beans and/or pinto; greek style garbanzo beans; white beans and kidney's are good on traditonal house style salad. You can mix all the beans together add tomatoes, red onion, cucumbers, olive oil and apple cidar vinegar salt and pepper and have just a bean salad, soooo yummy0

I use both cottage cheese and beans. They are delicious in a salad! If I add enough healthy goodies, I do not even need dressing.0

love beans in a salad. Any other meat besides chicken in a salad is good too. (guess I am a meat lover) LoL0

There was a program on other week that said baked beans has as much protein in as steak, but can't remember what it was!0
