Sweating during exercise

I've just finished working out doing an hour on the stationary bike, my heart rate was elevated a little and I only sweated a little. Usually my workouts are shorter and I find them more exhausting, this is usually aerobic type exercises.

My query is if I haven't sweated it out and don't feel properly exhausted after working out am I working hard enough?

Thank you in advance :)

P.S. I'm around 170lbs and burned around 450 on the bike if that's any help.

I think whether you were winded would be a better indication of whether the workout was intense enough. Sweat can can have a lot to do with the temperature.

Sweating is just your body trying to cool itself, no need to pay attention to that.

But if your perceived exertion level is not as high as it usually is, then you're not working out as hard as you usually do. Whether it's "hard enough" depends on many factors, the most important being what you're trying to accomplish.
