Rest day hunger

I am not good at taking rest day. I normally workout 7 days a week doing different things. So I am use to eating that amount of calories.
Today I woke up with my back killing me so I planned a rest day. My problem is I am still hungry.
Should I go hungry, eat and go over, or eat and workout? What do you think?

Increase protein and fat intake. Lower carb intake. You have to work for your carbs. If you're not working out, you don't need them.

If you generally workout 7 days a week, I don't think it'll kill you to go over your calories for one day. Being hungry feels like crap. Or maybe you can do light exercises? An easy walk with stretching or Pilates? I have lower back issues, and Pilates is amazing for it. :)

I know what you mean about feeling hungrier when you don't exercise. I'm no good at rest days for the same reason!

Have you been under for the rest of the week? Technically, you can carry calories forward a few days if you need to. If I know I have a special occasion at the weekend then I don't eat back my exercise calories for a few days so that I can have a guilt free yummy meal at the weekend. It might take me over for the day but for the week I still have a deficit.

I went waayyyy over Wednesday and am trying to work that down.
It is funny today is the first time I have gone so far over my carbs. I normally eat more protein since I am working out.
I am going to have some tea and do pilates. Good plan. :)

Hey Shaycat! :) If you're still hungry, I would eat and give your back a rest for the day. If you're feeling better tomorrow then just do a little extra work. It all balances out.

I will try to stay in my goal today. I hurt my back trying to make up some of the calories I went over on Wednesday.
I do want to rest today if I am better tomorrow I will be back on track :)
