How necessary is it to include a rest day into your weekly workout schedule?
I'm currently doing 2/3 hours of medium intensity gym classes 6/7 times a week. A few of these hours are spent doing weight training classes. I know the body needs time to rest and the muscles time to repair but I find that if I don't exercise it's hard for me to stay within my calorie range. It gives me willpower or something!
Is a 'not so much exercise' day just as good as a complete rest day?

Normally on my "rest" days I will just do 20 minutes on the elliptical or go for a walk on the treadmill. I hardly ever go a whole day without doing something.0
